Greetings to All! I from Odessa, love history. Can give the information on fight for villages Frantsfeld and Peterastal? I have slice of a fighting card of red army of Southern sector, Odessa 1941. On how many I know fights for these villages 14 infantry division conducted. Who has a Romanian card of fight for villages Frantsfeld and Peterastal? Lay out please!

Hello all,could stay tanks FT-17 in Odessa in 1942 and fought they Odessa area,or Bessarabia in 1941.Thanks.

FT-17 tanks were not used on the front. These could also be machines captured in France and then operated by Germans in security detachments.

I read about a Romanian pilot who witnessed this partisan executions, he didn't like it to much. But it seems they were necessary! Can you tell the source of the photos and post better scans of them, preferably at 1200 dpi, because they are a bit fuzzy. Maybe a translation of the captions?!

@Victor: you're right, I stand corrected.
@_Vik: without a date and a solid source of the photos you can't say they were soldiers, if they were soldiers (photos are to poor quality to say they were soviet uniforms) and they stayed behind the lines to fight occupation troops they become partisans/terrorists and they can be shot according to war laws! |
