Hello everyone, it's only my second post here but I read you guys for many years and I think this forum and website is a gem, a great treasure of information.
I am opening this thread about Divizia de Garda because this unit is so little known compared with Armored, Mountain or Cavalry although it was considered an elite division. I found a fairly good description of its actions during WW2 here However, little else is know about its equipment, commanders and I couldn't find a single journal/memoirs of soldiers who actually fought in this division so I am interested in what you know about this unit, especially its battle actions. I post some pictures with soldiers from this division: ![]() First in left is the famous philosopher of history, Neagu Djuvara ![]() ![]() So if you have more info or you can suggest some books/pdfs/internet sources about this division please post them here. |
