Even if we have enough money to spend on AEGIS cruisers/destroyers... japanese will not sold theyr new ships to us. And, i think we are for very little time in NATO to obtain top technology.

And if you search... you will find a scarry thing. For decades after AEGIS appeared this system was not battle -tested in real conditions. And, in 30 years, soviet/russians produced more capable antiship missiles.

It was during Iran-IraK war when US was protecting Kuveit tankers and lot other tankers in the "Tanker War" .... Maybe Vincenness ring a bell. smile.gif
well it was not in 1986 my bad.. 1988 .
