I got information that based on german experience romanian, hungarian and finnish armies created their owns propaganda companies (PK). Could you give me any information about romanian PK? ps. http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Gliede.../Propaganda.htm |

Cantacuzino, please include the history of propaganda services in RRA, as well. I mean, I know there existed some forms of propaganda as early as 1877, but it seems that not so many historians are used to write about that. At least, none in my "range"...

I didn't have the history of propaganda services. I had it only a book about movies made in WWII in Romania (Razboiul Sfant, Escadrila Alba etc). In the book were mentioned many people that works for Ministerul Propagandei including Ovidiu Gologan who took the Tidal Wave wrecks movie shots. But unfortunetly I don't find that book anymore probably I gave it to friend and he forgot to bring it back. But I m still looking for it. |

What did "PP", visible on many military propaganda photos, stand for?
One was obviously Propaganda, but what about the other P? Gen. Dénes This post has been edited by Dénes on March 07, 2009 04:32 pm |

From the link posted by Dragos: The romanian propaganda services in WWII was assembled in 2 platoons made with selected military (reserve ) people like writers, Photo reporters, camera operators, painters and all kind of artists. The 1st platoon "Caucaz" was comanded by Lt Edmund Wertiprach, and 2nd platoon "Crimeea" by Lt. George Mihail Cantacuzino (later replaced by Vasile Mihalca) |
