Below is a '50s badge issued to Rumanian civilian pilots who flew 1,000,000 km:

This must be a rare badge as not too many pilots flew that distance until the 1950s. However, there is a No. 52 stamped in the rear. Is that realistic?

If you perform only 400 km per day, and if you work only 250 days per year, in 10 years you make the million.
This means you can obtain the badge also on internal flights, not only on the international ones. The question remains, and could be clarified if we know the size of the civil Romanian aerial fleet.
Also, no.52 does not mean the badges were all issued in the same year, or that at a certain moment all 52 owners were still in active service.
Another approach: 52 could mean it was issued in 1952.
