There was no assigned pilot to any particular aircraft, due to the shortage of serviceable airplanes. Perhaps renowned aces and commanding officers were exceptions... If you'd look into a Rumanian fighter pilot's log book you'd see that he flew a wide variety of airplanes, whatever was available on that particular day. However, it did happen that a certain pilot flew a certain airplane more often than others. Gen. Dénes |
