Mihai, who were these awarded to? 2nd class was only awarded to a handful of people, so it's not hard to find out who the recipients were. |

CCJ, if you really want to complete the set, you'll also need a 3rd class with swords. I think they were issued only after August 23, 1944. |

Eventually I hope to have all three classes of all the types. Did a communist order replace the Michael the Brave after the war? |

As far as I know, in the communist period there was no order which resembled the Order of Michael the Brave in award criteria or requirements.
The highest purely military award of the time was the 1949 Defence of the Fatherland Order which was also awarded in three classes for the "organisation and carrying out of war operations which brought an important contribution to the fight for the defence of the fatherland". |
