Hi, ive been collecting photos for a while now and posted a thread here:

It is brigadier general Constantin Vasiliu-Rascanu, CO of the 1st Mountain Division (photo is from that period) in 1942-43. He later collaborated with the Communists and was part of the Groza government as Minister of Defense.
Btw, it is among the few photos with mountain troops in shorts!  |

Paul, as Victor mentioned in his post, it is not Gen. Avramescu, but rather Gen. Vasiliu-Rascanu (although there is considerable resemblance between the two, at least in this particular photo). However, if you do have any pictures of Gen. Avramescu, please do post them as they are of great interest to me. In any case, great picture....thanks for posting it. Looking forward to see any other similar pics you may find. Regards. |

Sorry to disappoint you guys this is the only photo in my collection that i have regards the Romanian Army, the only other possable photo is a shot of a 6 wheel recon vehicle, rear shot with someone looking out (again rear shot cannot see face) but with the same size beret on, it has a swordfish? or similar painted on the turret, this came from the same person i bought the other one off.
