It's an original WWII bread bag, but the long leather strap attached to it is not original as are the two D rings that hold it.

Here are some nice links that will help you see what area all the attaching points for.

So,looks like i was wrong. I have a early war model, due the leather reinforcement on the straps.
By the way,is the communist model of the fieldbottle fitting on this breadbag( for reenactment purposes)?
P.S. When i will wear it i will sing proudly the Frankerreich Lied tongue.gif

A new addition to my collection - a breadbag of some sort. I guess it's Romanian, from the ww2 era. I've took a picture of it (the one to the right) next to a postwar one (the one to the left).

Both have almost the same size. I couldn't find any markings. And as a difference the postwar one has the inside divided into two sections.

So what do you think? Any opinions are welcomed. unsure.gif

I'm not 100% sure but I can say 90% that it is a WWII bread bag or at least as WWII-ish as my 1942 bread bag ( http://www.worldwar2.ro/forum/index.php?sh...ad%20bag&st=120 ) unfortunately it's missing the two attaching points for the canteen. sad.gif

Could you post some more pictures of it with the inside.

The attaching points for the mess kit and the inner strap were removed. This bag might have seen some "civilian" use after the war and those parts were not needed anymore.

Pictures of the inside:
