Nice pic - thanks. The decorations are: Order of the Crown, military, 5th class (Knight); World War I Cross (I can not see if it is 1916-18 or 1916-19); Medal for reward for work for the church, type II (post January 1907), possibly 1st class). Alan in Bradford |

On the verso of the picture- postcard is written something about Lt. Gh. B. Ciutu (or Ciuta...)

Uploaded with ImageShack.us What kind of uniform is this?, also what kind of rifle? what I know, I think that the person from picture is a WWI militari who died in war, it posibil to be in WWII? is my young grand grandfather. The uniform is from the inter war period.

This person took part and died in WW1, the photo is before going the front.

I showed the photo to some guys who have good knowledge of romanian uniforms and they told me that this is a 1930's uniform, summer "veston", and the weapon is a Mannlicher M95.
