The Rumanian Army did not fight the Bulgarian Army in W.W. 2, as they were allies.

They fought at Turtucaia. There the romanian army has been defeated by the combined forces of: Germany, Austro-Hungaria, and Bulgaria. The romanian prisoners sufered terrifying punishments from the bulgarians: for example a friend of mine said his uncle died by being tyed with barbed wire alongside other 4 romanian soldiers, and thrown in the Danube river... :x

...but there were Turkish troops, too.
For a (short) introduction, see following source: http://www.highbeam.com/library/doc0.asp?D...112797098&num=2 The battle of Turtucaia (Tutrakan) (2-6 September 1916): Romania's grief, Bulgaria's glory. East European Quarterly; 12/22/2003; Torrey, Glenn E. On 27 August 1916, Romania declared war on Austria-Hungary and sent three armies across the Carpathian passes to occupy Transylvania as promised in a secret treaty with the Entente signed two weeks before. A wave of delirious joy swept over Bucharest at the prospect of annexing the "cradle of the Romanian race." (1) Vastly outnumbered Habsburg defenders offered little resistance and within a few days Romanian troops occupied Orsova, Petrosani, Brasov, and the suburbs of Sibiu. The Romanian war plan, whose priority was to advance quickly to the strategically important Mures river... [the rest of the study is accessible only if you're a member :? ] |

i'm not sure. according to the website hosting the austrian newspaper(s) of that time, the first turkish troops arrived during the invasion of the dobrudja. i have yet to see an army communiquee confirming the presence of turkish troops during the assault on Turtucaia.
there might have been military observers but i don't think they count... |

I just realised that the Turtucaia (Tutrakan) episode has already been discussed, in details, on this forum:

sO what about the air struggles between Romanians and Bulgarians. Apart the recon flights from both parts i don't think that any air fights were registed. Even i wonder if both forces had (at that time) any fighters.

The Bulgarian aviation was rather developed in 1913. However, all they did was aerial reconnaissance and dropping a few small bombs. I don't know of any aerial encounters with Rumanian (or other) airplanes, let alone 'dogfights'.
