I was looking for some information when the below listed equipment was taken in use by the Rumanian Army:
37mm Rheinmetall antiaircraft gun model 1939 50mm Pak 38 anti-tank gun model 1938 9mm Beretta submachine-gun model 1938 81.4mm Brandt mortar model 1939 7.92mm ZB light machine-gun model 1930 7.92mm Maschinengewehr 34 light machine-gun I know these weapons were available before 41. But was wondering if they were already in use in 39 or that they were "given/bought" just before operation Barabarossa. Thanks for any info you guys can give me! |

Thanks. Dragos!
Perhaps an idea of putting this on the site next to the info it already has? It gives a more accurate view of the weapons the romanian army had when it got involved bin the war and in the rest of the war. May I ask another five? 105mm Schneider field gun model 1936 150mm Skoda field howitzer model 1934 Pignone flame-thrower model 1937 105mm Skoda mountain howitzer model 1939 88mm Krupp antiaircraft gun model 1936 (Ithought 1942??) |

Both were in service as early as 1937. However the motorized heavy artillery battalions were formed in 1938. |
