I belive I aswered about SET in a pm...or I didn't..
Anyway it was a factory that produced some "local" planes. |

SET Bucharest also built, aside from its own designs or IAR's, Nardi FN-305 training aircraft.

Vlad maybe you should contact Dan Antoniu - he has quite an impressive data base on romanian pilots.

He is also the author of "Vanatorul IAR-80 Istoria unui Erou Necunoscut" best book about IAR80/81 around
Also he has several excellent articles in Aeromagazin. |

I asked today mr.Titus Axente (bf 110) about Salisteanu.
He has a very good memory,but never heard the name. Next hope ,Sorin Tulea ,in about a week. |

The first name of Av Sãlisteanu was GHEORGHE and not Ion I belive that tis change the things a lot. |

Does anyone knows how where were situated the flight or aeronautics schools.
I know that Sãlisteanu was studing in a aeronautic schol when the war stardted, and he enlisted as pilot. Conclusion, he was already flying . Maybe was an engineering school or a Liceu. I belive that he wasn´t 18 at the time. |

From my limited knowledge on aviation, I believe it's an ARR emblem, don't know from when though. |
