Yes. Verry good pics (high res.). Maybe when i have more time (and good inspiration), il try some work in PShop. 10x for this pics, and for "Mircea".

P.S. - What type of helo is planned for operations on new frigates? Puma, or NH-90 (NATO standardization ?), or maybe some british Linx ... "second hand"?

Both Regele Ferdinand (former HMS Coventry) and Regina Maria (former HMS London) belong to the batch 2 design of the Type 22 frigates. If I remember right, HMS Coventry entered service in 1986 and HMS London in 1987.

It is strange that no anti-ship and AA missle systems are currently installed on it. With the equipment it posses it is more an anti-submarine ship.

Type 22 frigates were originally designed as specialist anti-submarine platforms.

Maybe the deal did not include these systems  .

On the other hand, it seems that there is much more talk about the command capabilities of the ship than about the combat ones. Maybe this is the role that is in store for her.

IN terms of communication systems it seems to be very well equipped, but some Seawols and Exocets wouldn't have hurt. biggrin.gif Especially since the other ships in the Romanian Navy aren't exactly armed to their teeth.
