What was a "cavalerie purtata" regiment? But a "cavalerie blindata"?

"Cavalerie purtata" was motorized cavalry. "Cavalerie blindata" was armored cavalry (i. e. a tank unit). The motorized cavalry was available in small numbers from 1941 (only 3 out of the 6 cavalry brigades had motorized regiments). Teh armored cavalry was a concept created in 1943 and the 8th Cavalry Division was transformed into the 8th Armored Cavalry Division during the 1943/44 winter.
