Caporal Group: Members Posts: 117 Member No.: 149 Joined: November 27, 2003	I am looking for information about a pilot Turcu Daniel (might also be found as Danila) from Brasov. He was a pilot at Ghimbav. Born in 1907 and died in 1992. He might have been downed in Russia.

Caporal Group: Members Posts: 117 Member No.: 149 Joined: November 27, 2003	He was the grandfather of a friend. I was told he was a test pilot at Ghimbav. To my knowledge there was a fighter school there, but IAR should have had some test pilots. I also heard that occasionally test pilots were engaging in dogfights. Is it true?
