QUOTE (Victor @ Oct 13 2005, 09:57 PM)
What truck is this the bridge engineers are pushing through the muddy roads of Bessarabia? Is it a Skoda?

The Austro-Daimler ADGR (“R” from Rumanien ?) type 640 was a 6 x 6 autotractor, 6-cyl. 53 hp , total weight 2450 ( + 2600) kgs, 5300 x 1730 x 2300 mm, max speed 70 kms/hr.
It seems that 361 vehicles were produced by Steyr-Daimler-Puch (1936-1940) mainly for export to Romania. It was a development of ADG truck produced in 1932-1935.

According “Autovehiculele in Armata Romana”, in June 1941 Romanian army had 50 ADGR trucks

Morning Victor:

I believe your first vehicle is a Standard Medium Personnel car made by Horch and Opel. The vehicle following appears to be an American/Romanian Ford judging by position of the headlamps, the louvres in the hood/bonnet and the style of the front wheels.
Cheers
Bill

I don't know about the truck (a civilian one?), but the airplane remains appear to be of a Bf 109E.
Do you have a date for it?

The one in the foreground is a Citroen T23 or a Peugeot.

Evening friends:

Opinions, opinions, always opinions.
So, it is my opinion that the truck on the right is a Romanian military Ford and the bus is a French Latil, probably an M2B. I will try to post a scan or two when I have a little more time.
Regards
Bill

You are right Bill, but I think it is an M1B1 not M2B (probably 3).

M1B1 (this one hasn't the front bumper like in the picture posted by C-2)

M2B3 (this one has the front bumper)

Both pictures from http://www.avant-train-latil.com/.

Thank you Mihnea:
Certainly one or the other. Always hard to tell with just a direct frontal view. Makes it easy to identify the maker but not always the model.

In any case, I think we did a good job of detective work. Not many Latils were made and it is rare to see a photo of one.

Bill
