I believe the mystery vehicle to be an ex-Austrian Army ADMK "Adamek" wheel-cum-track carrier. The tracks and bogie wheels have been removed, but the idler wheels, front drive sprockets (on front end of drive chains), and mountings for the bogie wheels are still visible in the photo. Would be interesting to know the full story of how it got there.

Hi Dragos,
For a four-view plan of this vehicle try also: http://www.difesa.ufjf.br/fts/ADMK.pdf Cheers, Sid. |

Does anyone have a pretty good estimate of how many trucks served in the Army? Where there any trucks produced in Romania?
Thanks |

Between 1939-42, the Romanian Ford factory assembled:
2320 Ford 4/2 3 ton trucks 200 fuel trucks 12 Ford Marmon 4x4 There was an article in Autoshow in 2003 on the factory's history. |

60% of all cars were American 15%(+-) German. |

Hi gentlemen:
I somehow lost this forum from my bookmarks and just found it again I have no new trucks to post but if I can figure out how to post a photo I have some of cars from an ebay auction of a month or so ago. Let us see if it works. Didn't work. I can find no instructions on how to use imageshack. Any help out there? Bill This post has been edited by Bill Murray on September 30, 2005 08:42 pm |
