Hi guys:
Well, I missed the joke but I guess when you register in Jan 2004 and lose your hard drive not long after that you get out of the loop. I will try to play catch up as best I can. Cantacuzino: First photo is a 1939 Ford of the US type. Second photo is a 1940 Ford, probably supplied by Ford Dagenham (UK) with what appears to be an open cab Opel Blitz behind it. Third photo is, in my opinion, a Hanomag Sturm of about 1936. Fourth photo is to the best of my knowledge, a 1938 Plymouth. I post here what I believe to be a Fiat, don't know the exact model. Please understand I may give incorrect credit/source from time to time and it is purely because although I transferred images from my hard drive to a disc before it crashed, the information is not the same. I know that Gen. Denes and one other forum member sent me photos of Romanian cars and trucks so if it is yours, please claim it. I think I got this one off ebay.de some time ago. Thanks, Bill. I have a fairly large collection of Wheels and Tracks. I'll have to check and see if I have issue #30. David |

I think that the truck behind is Ford G917 or G997 cargo with open cab, probably assembled at "Atelierele Ford Bucuresti ". This post has been edited by mgc151184 on October 04, 2005 05:12 pm |

I believe you have corrected me. I enlarged the photo after copying it and it definitely has several ID clues that would indicate a Ford and not an Opel. I always hate to make an error but it is helpful when someone with a better eye than mine makes a good ID (my eyes are 65 years old now.) Good work!!! Bill |

Here is Dan Melinte snatching a photo recently (however, he didn't realize that, in turn, he was also photographed). Gen. Dénes This post has been edited by Dénes on October 05, 2005 12:23 am |

Here is a line-up of motley collection of vehicles. Isn't the second one from left the model you're looking for? Note that it doesn't have the 'white square and diagonal' symbol painted on the top left corner of the windshield, as it should be.
What about the other types? (The last ones look to me as regular Ford trucks). Gen. Dénes This post has been edited by Dénes on October 05, 2005 12:45 am |

The first truck from left and the second truck from right are Ford 917T or 997T. The first truck from right and the fourth truck from right (and maybe the third truck from right) are Ford V 3000 (198TS or 188TS). The second one from left can be an Mercedes-Benz. Cantacuzina:
Nice beute Bedford shot. Surely, you know the trailer is the famous one built in large numbers by the Oradea Farm Commune and exported all over Eastern Europe. Interesting Ford shot as well. Note the single rear wheels that seem to have the hub flanges for dual rear wheels. |
