What type of facilities did the main Naval bases contain?

Were there Dry docks, if so what size ship could they handle?
Were there repair facilities, or were these at civilian ports/docks?

Are you asking about a specific naval base or just is it a general question?

Hi Guys,

This is quite an important question, because it would tell us the maximum size of vessel that Romania could build and repair, both for itself and its German allies.

Wasn't the Amiral Murgescu the largest warship built in Romania? How big was the naval dockyard at Galati that built her?

What was the largest vessel Galati could have built? Didn't Romania have pre-war plans to acquire a cruiser and destroyers? Was Galati dockyard big enough for this or would they have had to be bought abroad?

How did Romania repair its damaged merchant ships, which were much bigger than the largest warships? Did Constata have facilities?

Cheers,

Sid
