Marin Ghica crashed his plane at Bolintin Vale at 1 august 1943, he was victim of a b24 gunner.
His was flying a bf-110, the plane's rezervoir chought fire and forced the two men to jump from a small distance to the ground. The back gunner managed to escape whit a broken foot and Ghica was found ded near his crashed plane.

Now i found at a villager a pice of a plane, he told me that his father was a cook at a hospital near the crash site and he took this pice to defend his home fire :drunk:
This man does not live anymore, his son presented this pice to me but he wont let me have it, for him it has emotional meening becouse it is from his father... Anyway i mannaged to film it, but the thing is i am not sure if is from 110, it sais Dornier Werk on it. And the sahape....
Take a look here, there 3 avi-s of 1,3 mb.

On the factory plate it's clearly written 'Dornier Do 17Z', so it cannot be Ghica's plane.
Since ARR didn't have this type in service, it must have been a Luftwaffe airplane.

I could not play the video clips. I've got the following error message:
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file may be formatted with an unsupported codec, or the Internet security setting on your computer is set too high. Lower your browser's security setting, and then try again."

I did play them without problems, so it seems that the fault is at your end.

Yes it seems that we need a better "décodeur". The question is which one. Normaly we should find one on the net, nut since i'm at work, i'll try from home.

Is it possible that some pieces diesigned for a aircraft (ex Do 17) could be fitted on other types (ex Me 110)???

I used "divx codec 4.12", i thought is the most widely used, try instaling it from here :

http://www.home.zonnet.nl/cjdijk/DivX412Codec.exe

if not just tell me and i'll redo it whit some other codec

I have in front of me a copy, I just received, of the declaration of an eye witness of Ghica's airplane crash on August 1, 1943. His name is Ion Gh. Ceausu, who was the local teacher in Bolintinu de Vale. He mentions that the Bf 110 crashed: "in lunca satului spre Sabar, in partea numita Persiceanca (liziera NV a comunei Bolintinu de Vale)"

According to the official crash report, pieces of the wreckage sunk in the upper surface of the soil, the engines even deeper, at 3 m.

"Cipiamon", I think now you have a good chance to find the actual location of Ghica's plane.

Dénes, thank you very much!!!
The only problem is that i heard from another elder that after a few days after the crash some people whit some cranes (macarale) came and took out the engines, and that they were 4 m deep in to the soil. Now we can't be 100% sure that is true, what do you think?
Pleasse can you give more details from the declaration? Is verry important for me.
