Last night,on B1TV,a very interesting program presenting the history of romanian aviation.Actually the celebrated figure here was ing.Radu Manicatide, the one and only.Very interesting program indeed, with details of IAR Brasov becoming, pre and war period, and of course, the very sad and interesting period after 1945,when IAR became a SOVROM enterprise.Lots of interviews with Mr.Manicatide, tons of pictures and film footage with the IAR series of planes.
Wish I had the time to find a DVD to record this program...:-( Regards, JT |

This documentary film was several time on B1TV, so I think there will be another chance to record it .....
Also on B1TV (or I'm wrong?!) I saw in the past documentary films about Printul George Bibescu, Martha Bibescu and Mariana Dragescu. Also very interesting and worth to be recorded .... BTW Mariana Dragescu seems to be born in Lugoj ?! Or at least she has spend her childhood there ... |
