As a matter of fact ,the guy you see in the picture was one of my military during my mission in Kosovo. He was a NCO in the platoon I commanded during my mission.Nowadays, the guy is a NCO in the Romanian Gendarmerie Special Brigade in Bucharest.
The picture was snapped in the village of Gorazdevac,in the outskirts of Pec town, where the Romanian unit has the barracks, and is dated most probably in the aftermath of violent riots occured in March 2004. I was with my platoon in that area because of the Albanian threat against the Serb minority. Like I said the military carries a L.P.7 and the military terminology used for this gun is automatic pistol. It is , in fact a submachine gun from the same class as ,let say the famous Heckler und Koch M.P.5 or the Israeli Uzi. It was intended for the close quarter battle and urban warfare operations. It was very nice for me to reach that photo on the internet because in this moment I left the system and I live abroad. If you are interested in weaponry, please ask me.I have a good experience in weapons. Respectfully, P. |

Sorry,I realized that you re trying to fing out something about military's second weapon.
Well ,that is a regular hunting rifle and my unit used that kind of rifle for the 12 mil rubber bullets. This is for crowd control and riot control operations . About the sidearm ,the unit had the Glock 17 chambered for 9 mil.I consider that weapon being reliable but I would rather go in this moment for 10 mil chambered Glock but this is probably because I live in America. |
