Sorry for rising an old topic,
Dear Claudiu1988, if the question is still actual - this is Romanian NCO dress bayonet M1930. There were various types of these produced, since they were made locally and abroad (Solingen) as well, so they can be very different. Some have nice etched blades with Carol II monogram, most of them have encrusted eyes of the eagl at the pommel, they also were worn with a portapee. Usually the handle grips are black, white is not so common. There can be Romanian national shield at the grip or Carol II monogram - very rare Michai I. Hope I ansewred your question, BR Dmitry P.S. if anyone has some photos with this dagger in wear - I would highly appreciate Soviet soldiers used these captured daggers as trench knives. But it was common for all captured daggers of all axis countries, including Germany. This post has been edited by Dmitry on August 30, 2009 11:24 am |

Thank you for this interesting info - didn't know! Was there an official regulation or just a common trend?
Best regards, Dmitry |

Iteresting. A bayonet customized like a dagger. Like the crossguard. Aviation. I am going to say that I beleive this one to be Romanian. The workmanship of the white grips and cross hatch design as well as the propeller crossguards I have seen on other Romanian daggers.
