YES, SIR two instead one, hope you like Swiss beers ? I'll pay back later with additional Tidalwave photos or info data base you may need , I have many resources on the TIDALWAVE and I make great efforts since years with Confederate AF to convince Spielberg doing something similar to MEMPHIS BELLE , which as yet remained fruitless , I keep in touch with 44th,376th,93rd,98th and 389Bmb Sqd's VET's and famailies.

Buna Seara
Alex

From the book " Vanatorul IAR-80 -Istoria unui erou necunoscut" -authors Dan Antoniu and George Cicos - page 147 :

On 1 august '43, Adj.Av. Bosinceanu Ioan and Adj.Av. Nicola Ioan from Gr.4Vt,esc.45Vt.( 45thsq, 4thFG ) made an attack on 3 B-24Liberator. One of the B-24 had the upper gun turrett destroyed by Bosinceanu who finished his ammo and had no choice but to leave the bomber to escape.

That lucky ( but not the upper gunner) B-24 should be this one

Stunning photos indeed, can you tell me the book or the source of the photos? all my resources about Tidalwave are in B&W and it will be useful to know if there is an other source in colour and how to get it

Thanks
Alex

Most of this color photo are from an old book ( WWII) I don't remember the name, written by an U.S officer reporter Dmitri ( russian born) who made a visit to Benghazi just after the Tidal Wave. Other photos I just found them surfing on the net.
