An updated and extended version of Grigorescu's mentioned book has been republished in 1995 by Nemira (this is the version I have, bought for 25.000 lei = approx. 80 cents). wink.gif

In direct line, from Targoviste to Lake Snagov are about 52 km. I used only a simple ruler, but the 160 course seemed to me to go somewhere near Buftea (using an approximation, as couldn't find my high-school geometry tools). Lake Snagov, would be more like 145-150.

I promised to get you the indegenious flack train as recommended by Major der Luftwaffe Falck during his last Luftwaffe and AA facilities inspection on his last visit in Roumania prior TW , this photos comes from Air Bataile and seems to be clearer than the ones posted on here previously

The photo claims is Mizil at Aug 1,1943 as the airplanes are getting scrambled into the TW........Victor, Dragos, Denes kindly check the authenticity of the claim by the Bataille Aerinne...could be is a rare take off photo on the TW
