As i remeber, they used the Zilistea airport (and others), as for equipment they did not have the radar, therefor they had no night victories.

Hello Victor Many thanks, any photos avialble ? I have a photo from USAF recon photos taken in 1943 from a Liberando depicting a Roumanian Wuerzburgs ( ground approach radars today called GCA ) in conjuction with 88 mm AA , can you identify them for me, where they related to night fighters or AA and Day Fighters? I don't know how Mr Hladiuk took those photos.
Titus axente ,who flew such an airplane, and made a lot of photos during the war,has no one with the 110. Simply no one was aloud to take photos! |

How many bombers had shot down romanian Me110? Not include "friendly fire"...
After 23 Aug. 1944 were used in west campaign? Me110 had have day missions against Russia? Were used for ground attack? But against russian night planes? Iama |

The 1st Night Fighter Squadron did not achieve any night kills. There was a claim for a B-24 on 1 August 1943, by the squadron's CO cpt. av. Marin Ghica, who was also KIA that day. The motives for this an the fate of teh airplanes after 23 August 1944 are mentioned by Titus Axente in the interview we tok him. Read here
