Ploiesti and Prahova Valley

"Sternflug" is the right expression? Was cooperation against this bombing raids? If yes, how succesfull was? Because, Ploiesti was the petrol fountain of Axis, and one of the strategic objective of all Axis.
In way to Ploiesti, and back to Italy, other Axis fighter attacked american formation?

During my research i found out that bulgarian fighters would also have a shot at returning US bombers. There was some cooperation between OKL and ARR, german radar stations would warn ARR of the wherabouts of US formations and possible target, also I read about ARR and Luftwaffe units that were supposed to link up in the air to face the enemy attack. Also remember that abover Romania US had the heaviest losses if we consider the European theatre.

From your previous message u've adressed me it looked you knew everything about anything ...howcome you didnt know that there was such cooperation indeed ? and as Mytzu stated Bulgarian but also Hungarian and Croatia fascists Air Forces and Luftwaffe stations in Europe and Greece have scrammbled against the returing allied bombers and in various cases sucessfully intercepted and downed them.

I say "Sternflug" in first part of my post, and when i say that word i reffered to joint operation like Hungary and Bulgarian squadrons concentrate with ARR and Luftwaffe on romanian soil, to give US bombing raids a stronger response.

No, only Luftwaffe and ARR in Sternflug. It was Gen. Gerstenberg's idea apparently and he had no power over Bulgarian and Hungarian fighter forces.
