This made front page New York Times today. It's the first Ive seen there all year with a Bucharest byline

BUCHAREST, Romania — Communism is gone and democracy is well implanted in the countries of the old Warsaw Pact, but the Soviet era’s security services are still sending shudders through the region nearly two decades after the fall of the Berlin Wall..............................

There's a peak of interest here lately, partly because of the (apparent) poisoning of that ex KGB guy in London. The above article makes it sound like more will be revealed in Romania..or then again, maybe not, at least until the old guys all die off.
