So what you say is in US airforce there was never a sence of chivalery ? This could also explain the shooting of bailed out/crashlanded romanian pilots.

QUOTE
I quess that if we can see today an American soldier shooting a woonded Iraki ,we can imagine what was going on that war

You are generalizing the behavior of all American soldiers based on a single, isolated incident which happened in a different war.

Do you honestly think your statement is fair, or even logical?

Using the same logic, should the European Union and the US then assume that all people in Romania have the same moral fiber and character of Miron Cozma?

By the way, are you familiar with the details of the "wounded Iraki" incident? Allow me to give you just one detail from the many that make up this complex issue. The war in Irak has been plagued with many, many cases of Iraki insurgents, and terrorists who would fake being dead during battles. Once the battle was over, American soldiers would then walk past the casualties and as soon as they would walk past them, the Irakis who were faking their death (some wounded, some not wounded at all), would shoot them in the back. An alarming number of American soldiers have been killed in this manner in Irak. Does that sound fair to you?

Regards,

Mihai

Let's not turn this into yet another Irak thread, shall we?

Alexkdl, please, in the future, do not use insulting terms like "Japs".

Japs or Nips are considered insulting. Just like Polacks, Krauts, Ruskies etc.

Let's not generalize. Not all US fighter pilots shot at descending parachutes. If that was the case, we would have very few surviving veterans today.

True enough, however a ganeral state of mind could have led some pilots to do things like that.
