Someone else (I don't wish to make his name public). Reportedly, he only received some info and photos from Craciunoiu, but kept his name for tax and other personal purposes.

QUOTE (Victor @ Dec 22 2004, 03:35 PM)

So he wasn't discharged in March 1945 and arrested in 1948?

Dicezare was discharged shortly after 23/Aug/44.
He was afraid he'd be in trouble because he fought in Russia, and asked Jienescu to discharge him.
He was quickly discharged due the fracture he had at his spine .

CIP very nice phto but what a pitty is only a part of the cockpit...I can see that the engine starter switch is marked in German and it says to actuate it only when the aircraft is ready ( who would start the engine when its aircraft is ready)

Köszönöm, Alex. Same to you and your family.

BTW, we usually have cabbage rolls and ham for Christmas dinner, not turkey. And pálinka (as apéritif) and wine (after the meal), of course.

Just talked to Dicezare,
The accident with the Fleet was during the Stalingrad campain.
He flew Lt Tiberiu Starescu????-the comandant of the 56 squad in Stalingrad.
After the war he worked at the Baneasa car service.
Dicesare was finbaly discharged(after paper work and phisical exam.at 10 Mars 1945.
HIs last combat missions were in September 44.
