Hi, I'm new here, found this site from Google while looking for info on the Romanian Army for wargaming, this was by far the best site I found.
I have been trying to find out the colour schemes for tanks such as the Tacam's, R1's R2's in 41-44 and I am trying to find out if the PzIII's PzIV's and Stug's from the germans, retained the Dark yellow factory colours, or if the Romanians repainted them. Any Help in This matter will be much appriciated Many Thanks Ostmann |

Hello and welcome to the forum !
The overall painting scheme of the Romanian vehicles, including armour, was a shade of olive green. For Humbrol colour codes see the following thread: http://www.worldwar2.ro/forum/index.php?showtopic=1740 Here is a colour photo of a R-2 tank: http://www.worldwar2.ro/forum/index.php?showtopic=1778&st=58 If you need markings specific to a tank, please mention which one interests you. Yes, some of the imported tanks retained their original cammo scheme, and this includes both German panzers and stugs, but also French Renault R-35. For more information and photographs check the armour section of the site. http://www.worldwar2.ro/arme/?category=armor&language=en |
