Anyone has a map with the Tusow airfield where Gr. 6 and 8 with IAR-80/81 were based at some point during the 2nd ARR campaign ? I ned to identify that place on a map.

The correct spelling is Tuzov (Tusow is the German form).

For the location, check out Mapquest, for example:

Ahhh I see it now, thank you Denes.Do you by any chance know what VVS squads were facing the ARR pilots in late september in Stalingrad campaign ? Also, did the IAR groups used an airfield found between DOn and Volga ? I found only airfields used west of Don.

Anyone knows what VVS squadrons were present in Stalingrad area in late september 1942 ? Who did ARR face overthere ?
