C-2 !!!!!! How did you get this photo , my uncle who was at ARR has it too I was about to post it tomorrow under my other topic called ARR Pilot profiles. Can you ask him on how Loc.Troncconi lost his left hand and what was he doing at ARR if he was not on flight status , was he ground instructor ?
You did wonders with Dobran...did you buy him Whiskey or just left him your car as a gift ? Alex This post has been edited by alexkdl on February 10, 2005 11:47 pm |

Dobran is a very nice person. He is not driving anymore, and he sufferes from ulcus,so he won't be drinking alcohol anymore. |

Actually Lipfert said no one can fly lower then him and one crazy pilot said "like hell we can't" so they took off and the romanian pilot flew as Lipfert's wing, ofcourse he was crazy enough to fly a little lower then Lipfert thus the tips of his proppellers were hitting the ground, when the plane landed they noticed they were bent This post has been edited by D13-th_Mytzu on February 11, 2005 07:36 am |

Yes, but romanians knew a trick . They stay in formation in second position and look through Bf-109 tail hole ( lifting tail device) and from that position the second plane was with 0,5 m lower than leader plane. Ofcourse Dobran was second position and Lipfert leader in that contest. Dan. This post has been edited by Cantacuzino on February 14, 2005 07:18 am |

I reactivate this topic with a question: I try to finish a kit representing the Bf-109F presented on this topic - the 6 White crashed at Tiraspol - because I wanted to make a "Romanian" Bf-109F. My questions are: where to put the yellow markings - on the whole engine cowling or only below, is any swastika on the tail and the wing tips are painted in yellow both surfaces(up and below) or in other way? I searched in many books about JG 52 and I'm puzzled about the painting scheme, so I'm asking for your help.
