PLOESTI RAIDS AND BEYOND, Ploesti Bombings & Rumania after 1943

Hello All

First of I wana commend Fratello for starting an other interesting topic of the HALPRO detachment which is something little have details about. Secondly , I wana start a new topic which was painfull as TW too to Roumania and the families who lost their loved ones after 8 months after TW when new bombing campaign was started again.

My post reffers to any info, photos , reports on any Roumanian bombing mission after TW not only Ploesti but entire Roumania after August 1943 inluding the P-38's bombing missions too. I wold appreciate if you have any photos , documents, memos else but Internet because all details are known to me from the involved bomber groups websites

PS : Schweinfurt mission some of the 15th AF planes which were now station in UK involved substantially more losses of aircraft and men than at Ploesti and any other Roumanian campaign

Alex,one question : Schweinfurt mission was done by 15th or 8th Air Force ?

Dan, the Schweinfurt raid was done also with some elements ( aircraft & crews) from TW some even who survived at TW would lose their life over Schweinfurt...rest of the elments are known to you ( is available on Internet easely)
