Gen Ionescu Emanoil on troops inspection....Lt Dobran first from the left , please note the dogs are part of the inspection too, Ionescu wears Luftwaffe flyers boots ...I guess he had tough time flying his cold desk at the Cuartierul General ARR...thanks god Luftwaffe had such great and expensive boots at that time

Airfield Ghenicesc ( where was that ?) Grupul 9th de Vanatora.....adj Buholzer....was he of German origin or just Rumanian from the German speaking part of Rumania ?

Yes, Sgt. Bucholtzer was shot down by soviet women AA guners. But he flew that day a Messerschmit Bf 109 G with still Michael cross markings. He didn't wait for overpainted the old markings.

How do you spell;Dicesare or Dicezare?
Ion or Ioan?
In the old times names were spaled many times diferent..
Marinciu is in sometimes Ion and sometimes Ioan...
But about the pilot in the photo,friends were caling him Reaza...

A very interesting portrait photo of a Rumanian aviation officer. Besides several decorations and medals, apparently he wears five different airman's badges!
