I know that the ARR used the HE-112 in the ground attack role but the plane was at a disadvantage because of lack of armor. I was wondering, were any modifications or plans carried out to add more armor?

I think ARR used He112 for straffing because he had a powerfull armament - 2o mm guns, and because was not so good in manevrability.
