I've bought 2 boxes of cheap surplus ammo of caliber 7.92x57mm, and they are a mix of Czechoslovakian 1938 made, Israeli 1948 and 1950. But there is 2 markings that I was'nt able to identify. Both are from 1943, one manufacturer is CMC (on top, year each side of the primer 19 43), the other one is 1943 on top, P A (each side of the primer, possible manufacturer coding??) and both have 7.92 D stamped at the bottom. Can these two manufacturers be Romanian? If someone have information on WW2 Romanian ammo coding, I will like to know if I can shoot them, or keep them preciously! cool.gif

Great site!

The P A markings are from: Pumitra Voina Anonima Romana, Brasov

I have some ground fond ammo with both markings. Now I know what they are. Thanks Dragos! biggrin.gif
