I've got really confused again, just when I am going to paint my R2!
I bought the book by Zaloga and Grandsen (Eastern Front Armour and Camouflage), and have seen that the R2 shown on the plate in that is dark green. In the text it says that Romanian tanks were left the colour of their original manufacturer, in that case a base coat of Czech green. But, many other sources, the French magazine posted above, the R2 in the military museum in Bucharest and the scan of the cover of the Dorobantul title on Romanian armour I have seen show a lighter tan colour, more khaki than green. Should I paint my Romanian stuff with the same dark green I use as the basis for my Slovak vehicle models before I put camouflage on, or a lighter tan colour? Hope somebody can help. |

What a find! I really like those color paintings on page 2 of the Romanian tanks.
Good job and thanks for sharing! |
