Royal 23d of August Insignia

Does anyone have any information about these items?

I received this portion of some publication purporting to describe the insignia. Sorry for the very poor quality. Can anyone verify the information?

The description is indeed very poor, but it describes exactly the award...

It is said that the 1st Class (with white email) was reserved only to officers, and the bronze one to soldiers. The 2 classes had the same ribbon...

Did this order remain only in the project stage or was it officially instituted in August 1945? Were there eventually any awards of this order?

I was told that a handful of awards were made in one award ceremony. An article was published from the National Military Museum regarding the Order, and the Museum should have both the first and second class. I have no other information.

Thank you very much for the higher resolution article. There seems however to be no reference to any physical award. The article is phrased as if this order was only a project that did not reach the final stages: "The order [decree] had to be promulgated on the first anniversary of the insurrection ... it had to reward the officers and the troop ...".

On the other hand, it seems that we have also found the inventory numbers of the two badges in the image I posted: 36704 and 36705.

My information is from a collector that supposedly obtained the information from the old Director of the National Military Museum. No proof of the accuracy one way or the other.

According to a comment by Mr./Ms.(?) A. Curdov to an article in Jurnalul Naţional, the Order of 23 August 1944 was awarded to those who have arrested marshal Ion Antonescu. Can anyone confirm this piece of information?
