From the veterans, only Mr Dobran was there. We were so few this year. Latter i will put a photo.
Mr Arbanas went to Bacau with a delegation, only his wife was present. The commander of BC Mig 21 base made military honors in the memory of A Serbanescu, at his statue. It seems that next year military honors will be made in Ghencea-Bucharest. A young man was there too but he didn`t present himself...

My grandfather is Simionescu as seen in the photos of Serbanescu. I am looking for any information on him as the pieces I receive from his sons are sketchy and don't seem to make sence with the information I find on this wonderful sight. Please send me a message for any information on Simionescu and/or his unit. Also I am interested in any information on the memorial - when/where. Thank you.

Another photo colored lately (unfortunately I couldn't find it in a better quality), I thought it is appropriate to post it here, also because
the date of 18 August is fast approaching.

Any comments/suggestions welcomed. Thanks!
Program used: Adobe Photoshop 7.0, work time: seven hours.
