Well it was a very pleasant day, with some exceptions that I'll open a new topic about them later.
When I saw that it rained all night and was still rainind at 7 am I called Dobran to ask if we abord the mission..-"so what if it's raining..let's go!" was his answer. So I colected first Ioan Marinciu after him Boris Capbatut, and Dobran the last. Mytzu was kind and brought Lucaci Mihai. All the way Boris told us jokes(most of them dirty ones). We were at the cemetry at 8.30,and nobody was around exept a guy from Pitesti. We went first with Boris to visit his wife grave. Then Victor came and we all went to Popescu Ciocanel grave, where Dobran told us some stories abbout him. Later the "guys "came .I meen the young ones. The dauther of Serbanescu's brother came with her husband (she org .the comemoration). From the vetrs also came,Eusebiu Hladiuk,Dan Stoian,Chiaburu,Coman, the 90 years old guy,Morariu and others that i don't know. I left with a good feeling, and hope we all be there next year! |

The third one from left, in line, isn't either. He was a civilian transport pilot, IIRC. I met him last Summer at ARPIA. Gen. Dénes |

Elderly Romanian men dress just like elderly American men. I guess grandmas and grandpas are universal.

Very nice!
Looks like "the missing man" formation. |

Indeed it does, the 12th pilot is missing and probably the first is flying ahead of the formation. |

All we know is his name, what he flew and his age: Munteanu, SM-79, 90 years and three month old.

I see ... the mysterious man is Mr. Munteanu. Well, there is a good chance that he is cdor. Emil Grigore Munteanu (if he has indeed received recently the peacetime knight's cross of the Aeronautical Virtue Order). |
