It appears that the right succession of colours on the rings of the shoulder badges was indeed with red in the middle and blue on the outside.
Does anyone have a reason for this appearance? If these badges were used in the early period of the People's Republic, was the change of the colour succession done intentionally so that the 'new' insignia should resemble least the 'royal' insignia used before or in the later stages of WWII? |

There you go, you see I make disparaging remarks and immediately it comes back to bite me on the arse.
After months of looking and waiting and nothing happening .... suddenly there they are on ebay. So, in the principle of admitting when you are wrong, I apologise. Yes they do come up on ebay, apparently. Alex PS. I bought them. |
