Why would the seller name the item "WWII GERMAN ROMANIAN OFFICER PILOT BADGE"? It wasn't German and it wasn't, as far as I know, restricted to officers. Also, it wasn't a combat award.

Mihai, you should have taken a look at the older thread which came to deal with this type of questions: Pilot's badge.

I have asked the very same question about an identical badge and REGAL UNIFORMA COLECTOR deemed that one a fake based on several observations.

It should be noted that the badge I brought to attention was eventually sold, so the badge you asked about must be another one.

I have even seen the badge described as "Nazi Romanian Pilot Badge" as the seller tried to boost the sale even more by appealing to the 'history impaired'. mad.gif

This could be as well, but I still think that the seller wanted to appeal to the Nazi flavour that attracts so many of those I called 'history impaired'. wink.gif
