Hello folks,
I was advised by a friend to come here and ask my question. Does anyone know where I can get some current Romanian para wings, other than joining the Romanian military. I would be extremely grateful for any help and pointers, I need them to illustrate something on current NATO members parachute insignia. Thanks, Alex |

If it was that easy I would not be here. Asking, in my opinion, a perfectly civil question.
How best to put this politely. Only to receive a dim reply. |

What is that precisely? As far as I know, collar badges were not used in the Romanian Army. |

it looks to me that "cocarda" is wrong. I think red must be in the midlle,or perhaps for parashut badges is different!

Very good observation, Horia. Indeed, it appears the outside and inside colours are reversed. Gen. Dénes |

Does anyone have a badge with the rings in the 'right' succession? If it exists then the badge above is an error or a poor copy. Either way, it would be interesting to have this particular image as a visual reference. |

I understood now that in your opinion this is a shoulder sign/badge, not a qualification badge to be worn on the chest. But what this badge is was only one of the aspects under discussion. There still is the issue of the colours on the badge. Indeed, they are not in the usual succession with blue in the middle and red on the outside. The question is whether this particular succession is right for these shoulder badges or not. However, I agree that we can assume that the badge under discussion is authentic until someone posts the image of a badge with the rings in the usual succession with blue in the middle (which will prove that the badge above is an error or a poor copy). |
