I would also like to know that one, as I included a colour profile of this airplane (No. 133) in my Squadron/Signal book on ARR, page 34. In the Summer of 1933, when the photo was probably taken, this particular airplane was flown by Gr. 9 vân. As a sidenote, the Editor of Squadron/Signal initially wanted to prohibit the insertion of this profile in the book, because of the nick-name, which in English means something nasty. I had hard time convincing him that the Rumanian pilot did not have the English meaning in his mind, when he painted the name on his mount. Gen. Dénes |

At page 305 in Dan Antoniu and G. Cicos's book there is a pic with "Bitch" which doesn;t seem to be the same as that posted in here, but it is not the entire plane in it.Maybe if you contact Dan Antoniu or G. Cicos they can give more details on it.
PS: the picture on e-bay from the link given by mihai is IAR-80 nr. 216 which was delivered on 19th august 1942. This post has been edited by D13-th_Mytzu on July 27, 2005 09:57 pm |

Here is what I have on I.A.R. 81A, No. 100: Force landed due to fuel shortage at Magureni, in Prahova County, on Aug. 22, 1944. The official document blames the pilot, adj. av. Grigore Georgescu of Baza 3 vân., for causing the incident due to lack of discipline. The damaged airplane was then destroyed by retreating German troops. Gen. nr. 211 was delivered on 12 august 1942.Both planes 211 and 216 were involved in accidents: nr. 211 was dammaged on the field by another IAR in 1947 while 216 crashlanded at Debrecen in 1945 - source Dan Antoniu and George Cicos.
