Hi,
Is this original or fake? Mihai http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...6545549750&rd=1 from e-bay |

Why would the seller name the item "WWII GERMAN ROMANIAN OFFICER PILOT BADGE"? It wasn't German and it wasn't, as far as I know, restricted to officers. Also, it wasn't a combat award.

Mihai, you should have taken a look at the older thread which came to deal with this type of questions: Pilot's badge. I have asked the very same question about an identical badge and REGAL UNIFORMA COLECTOR deemed that one a fake based on several observations. It should be noted that the badge I brought to attention was eventually sold, so the badge you asked about must be another one. |

It sells better that way. I have even seen the badge described as "Nazi Romanian Pilot Badge" as the seller tried to boost the sale even more by appealing to the 'history impaired'. |

The more words you put in the name, the more searches it will show up in.

This could be as well, but I still think that the seller wanted to appeal to the Nazi flavour that attracts so many of those I called 'history impaired'. |

The correct phrase is " Historically challenged "
