I already read that Victor tongue.gif You know why I asked what I asked - due to the heavy losses, ARR reorganized several times, by the time they reached Slovakia I wanted to know what units were officially present there, with what planes (types/numbers).
This is the reason I ask: http://www.simhq.com/simhq3/sims/boards/bb...44;t=002198;p=2

I know from Dan Antoniu & G. Cicos's book about the IAR groups, just wanted to find out more about the others.

PS: the first place I go when I have such questions is this website, if I do not find what I need, I post here - then I start reading the books biggrin.gif

Mytzu, the details you're asking for are included also in my book on ARR, published by Squadron/Signal, book you have.

O.K., Mytzu, I hope you've found the answers you're looking for. If not, just let me know and I'll try to help you.

BTW, I checked the link you gave us.
Please note to the Slovak guy, who is working on the story, that the map of Slovakia during W.W. 2 looked differently than today.

Denes I am looking for numbers of planes at the start of Slovakian campaign (how many 109, how many JRS79, etc.) if you already have this info somewhere please let me know (otherwise I have something to read and calculate biggrin.gif). As for the slovakian lad, the map still looks the same no matter where the border was :] it is us - the users - who will draw the boarders/frontlines when we create/fight our missions.

Now something a little OT: I could really use pictures of romanian airfield configurations (aerial ones preferably), I searched for this a long time with very poor results.

That very much depends on when does one consider the start of the (Czecho)Slovakian campaign. See my comment on the wartime borders.

Pan Kopanski has posted several pictures of various Rumanian airfields. That's a good start.
BTW, there is a separate topic for this.

I have seen Kopansk's photos, what I am looking for is something that looks more like this:
