Well done! Very impressive collection!

Unfortunately I couldn’t see the “hidden” items, wrapped in plastic (be careful to the condense, I think is better to protect them with soft paper or in a cotton tissue bag).
What kind of cartridge pouch and pistol holster do you have? These are VZ-24 type bayonets? What is the shovel type? Could you make more explicit photos?

I was also impressed by the two (MAN like) hand grenades and I also noticed the German M.35(?) helmet with liner, strap and a … side decal.

You are able to equip a Romanian/German WW2 soldier. Only the uniform parts are still missing but these could come in the future.

Well, Claudiu, that is impressive indeed!
There are a few antique shops in Bucharest and i have seen german helmets, roumanian helmets, russian....Also a lot of bayonets (most of them in very bad condition), water bottles, entrenching tools etc. It is one "minor" aspect though.....they are unjustifiable expensive!
But, but, but....there is also a flea market every sunday at the outskirts of the town (Pantelimon), where you can find very interesting things and you can bargain for them. This one I recommend you. I will post you some "scores" of the militaria out there. (I am a " regular" client... )

Andi, on that 'talcioc', can you find wartime photos or documents as well? If yes, I'd be interested...

I will put more photos with my colection later because now I am renovating my house.

The cartridge pouch is ww2 german merked 1939 on the back, the holster is ww2 I think it's german but I am not shure, the shovel is ww2 swidish like german shovel,
the phone is ww2 british marked 1942, one bayonet is Romanian ww2 and the other is Russian M1891 model 2. The helmet is M42 I have photos with it in my other topic " German M42 helmet"

I am not sure if there are wartime related, but very likely. I have seen folks with a lot of old photos and postcards but I cannot tell exactly. In my opinion, there is a good chance to find what you are looking for.
Just "arm" yourself with patience (crowded), be sure you don't have any belongings in your outer pockets ( )and go for it.
Unfortunately there was a big storm in Bucharest (are you from Bucharest?) and I couldn't go yesterday.

do you know more about the origin of the telescope-glass in the second picture behind the objects wrapped in plastic??

I´m very interested to know that because I think that I have seen one similar some time ago.

I've been to that "talcioc" a couple of times this summer and never found WW1 and WW2 photos... and, in general, they are quite rare in Bucharest.

No, I am from Toronto.

Well, one day I might have the chance to check the 'talcioc' out, when I'll be visiting Bucharest.
Until then, I have to rely on the kindness of others to act as my eyes and ears (as with books & magazines) - with my own money wallet, of course.

ww1 and ww2 photos are rare in Bucharest indeed, but I went you should go more often to that fleamarket. I didn't actually saw exactly ww1 or ww2 photos, but trust me, there is a lot of material you can look into. This is not my field, I went there looking for something else, but I have eyes to see and I don't wont to mislead nobody either.

Hello Mihnea in those plastic bags I have a german ww2 cartrige case marked 1939 and a german ww2 holster. I also have a Romania ww2 bayonet.

It's a romanian marine telescop from the comunist era.

By saying “a big thing in common”, I meant that I also keep my collection in the same type of furniture, as you can see in this picture.


Yes I have four helmets and here you can see them.


1 - Romanian WWII German interior.
2 - Romanian WWII Dutch interior.
3 - Romanian WWI has been repainted but it had a “small” accident.
4 - German WWII Luftwaffe helmet.

PS Way do you keep those objects in plastic bags?

Is that a ww1 austrian water bottle stacked between your books? If yes, can you tell me if there are any markings on it?
