Yes it is.
As a picture makes for a 1000 words here you go.
These are all the markings.

Thanks Mihnea,
I have seen several water bottles like this at the flea markets but only once one with markings on it and I was wandering if this just a coincidence or not (very few marked).... huh.gif
You know, of course, it had a wooden cork and a cup at the bottom.
....I hope Claudiu won't mind we're using his topic for this..... biggrin.gif

The case of the Order of the Star appears to be larger than usual. Does it have anything written on the lid?

The original box is in a poor condition and I don,t want to damage it. I bought this box from an antik shop for 70.000 lei. I don't know for what order is it.

Congratulation! It’s a real nice collection of helmets. How could you get all these items? Did you find them in Romania or you got some of them from abroad?

Sometimes it’s cheaper to buy items from abroad than in Romania, where some prices are indecent. Recently I’ve seen a M1 style NATO helmet in an antique shop on Covaci street, for sale at 8,000,000 old lei ( about 230 Euros). A similar helmet (ex-Bundeswehr), complete, with metallic and plastic shells, to be pick up from a big cluster of similar head dresses, was sell with only 5 Euros, in August this year, at a Militaria fair, in Belgium (“Wings and Wheels” – Ursel).

I think that antique sellers should be educated to accept reasonable prices if they want to sell their artifacts.

Hello I bought the romanian M39 and ssh40 helmets from military units for 50.000 lei . The german M42 helmet it's from Lichtenstein the M33 helmet from Italy etc. All of my forin helmets are bought from abroad. They are more cheeper then in Romania. The german helmet (complet) I paid for it 200 Euro and in Romania for a M40 shell I paid 2.000.000 lei. All german medals and uniforms, helmets in Romania are very expensive, I bought an iron cross 1939 II class from Germany for 80 Euros and in Romania it was 6.000.000 lei.

Do you have helmets or uniforms ?

I think you have to be extremely careful when buy German Third Reich orders and medals. There are a lot of copies, here and abroad.

Unfortunately, I’m not a Militaria collector. I actually “collect” information on uniforms, equipment, weapons and other military historical topics. I’m also very interested on re-enactment movement in Romania.

Congratulation!

He seems to be a coming reenactor, still vacillating between US and German appearance. However, we need Romanian volunteers for our shows.

Happy birthday to your son, Cristian!

It is a VZ24 ZB bayonet. Unfortunately, yours is a former bayonet.
